Club profile: Maryland Roughriders

History of Club:
Based out of Howard County, Maryland, the MD RoughRiders are comprised of the best lacrosse players across the state who excel both on and off the field. The RoughRiders were created in 2007 to showcase the talent of our youth and help develop their skills as they prepare for lacrosse at the next level. Learning the game is most important, but this summer the RoughRiders make new friends, have fun, and enjoying the lacrosse experience. Since its inception the Roughriders has exploded to 11 teams in Maryland and has branched out into West Chester, PA with 11 more teams. The High School Elite teams also compete in the prestigious NSCLA organization, comprised of the top clubs in the sport.

Team Make-Up: 
The majority of the Roughriders hail from Howard County, Maryland with a mix of public and private school players. A number of players have joined the Roughriders from the surrounding areas including Carroll County, Frederick County, Baltimore County, Virginia, Pennsylvania and more.
