After weeks of hard college practices, the Proton U has held up pretty well. As a defensemen I like the stiff heads. I've used the Revo X and that became flexible pretty fast but for the same amount of time, the Proton U has stayed rigid although it is a bit heavier than the Revo X. I highly recommend the Proton U for Close D.
