With the Charlotte Hounds and Ohio Machine sitting on 1-3 records and a loss this past weekend, both teams need a win this Saturday to get their seasons back on track. It’s still relatively early in the season, but both of these teams have lost some tough games by only one goal. Things are looking a bit bleak for the Hounds and the Machine, but it would be a mistake to count these guys out later in the season.
Tough L last night in Florida, but wanted to say Thank You to all the folks who waited out the lightning delay! pic.twitter.com/ZU5W3SrrXB

Last weekend was Matt Danowksi’s homecoming to Charlotte since his trade to Chesapeake, and he didn’t waste the opportunity to show the Hounds what they’re missing. The Queen City crew will certainly look to step up their defensive play and cut down on unforced errors when they match up against an offensively stacked Machine team. Even in their loss, Ohio was able to put up some solid numbers on the scoreboard, including hat tricks from Peter Baum and James Daily, their second hattricks this season. Those goals were too little too late, but the Machine will be oiled up and firing on all cylinders as they come home to play the Hounds on familiar territory.
In the midst of the NCAA Men’s quarterfinal games, the Hounds and Machine will face-off at 7pm EST. Fortunately for lacrosse fans, this game will start near the end of the Ohio State-Denver game, making it possible to catch phenomenal collegiate and pro play in the same day.
With their season’s trajectory on the line, these teams will be ready to battle on Saturday.
