Optik vs i6

Maverik Optik

Head Spec: Universal

Position Recommendation: Offensive Midfield

Key Details: The Optik is an offensive minded head designed with level 2 bottom rail sidewall that’s perfect for a low-mid pocket. This specialized pocket placement is ideal for an offensive midfielder looking for enough control to dodge towards the cage with a quick release for those shots on the run. This head is known to be a favorite among the midfield unit of Notre Dame, who are notorious for bringing the heat on their outside shots.

Thompson i6

Head Spec: Universal

Position Recommendation: Attack/Midfield/Defense

Key Details: Carefully crafted by Mohawk lacrosse players and industry-leading stringers, the Thompson i6 combines tradition with technology. Lacrosse lies within the roots of the Thompson family, which is why they created a head that was grounded in the game itself. This head is great for the outdoor field game and the indoor box game. The versatility found in the i6 can also be seen in the style of play from the remaining Thompson in the college lacrosse, Lyle, as he exudes unseen levels of creativity.

Super Power vs Blade OG

STX Super Power

Head Spec: Universal

Position Recommendation: Attack/Midfield

Key Details: The STX island ball stop reduces the weight in throat of the head. When an offensive player is caught in a tight situation on the crease, every second you can save is critical. The unique style behind the Super Power comes from the scalloped scoop design, which allows extra flex when shooting for additional snap and power. That extra snap has powered Ohio State through some notable top 10 upsets over Denver and Maryland, putting the Buckeyes in a position to make some big statements in the tournament.

Warrior Blade OG

Head Spec: HS

Position Recommendation: Face-off Midfielder

Key Details: Warrior has revived a classic face-off gem by bringing back the Blade OG, maintaining the original shape and design from when it was first released in 2001. The Blade OG is a favorite among face-off specialists, as it provides extra control on the clamp much like Denver’s freshman face-off stud has provided many crucial possessions for the Pio’s this season.

CEO vs Burn X

Nike CEO U

Head Spec: Universal

Position Recommendation: Attack

Key Details: As the most-pinched universal head from Nike, the CEO is widely known as a favorite for attackmen looking for ultimate ball control. The bottom rail design of this head provides unbeatable support for a mid-pocket placement that is great for a quick release to make those passes & shots in tight on the crease. There is no better attack unit that can attest to these benefits than the UNC Tar Heels starting attack. This unit has put up record breaking numbers this season and will look to prove the history books wrong by charging towards Championship Weekend.

Warrior Burn X

Head Spec: Universal

Position Recommendation: Attack/Midfield

Key Details: The Burn head can be defined with one word, speed. The Symrail Twist technology in the head helps reduce the weight in the sidewalls without hindering its overall stiffness. This head is truly a versatile tool for any midfielder or attackman who has the need for speed! Much like the Burn X, the Maryland Terrapins can do it all from shutting down top offenses to putting up highlight reel goals.

STX Stallion U 500

Head Spec: Universal

Position Recommendation: Midfield

Key Details: The Stallion U 500 comes to the market with Dual-Sidewall Braces that are constructed to increase accuracy and consistency in your shot. Unique to STX, the C-Channel Technology provides added strength for picking up ground balls in tough situations. With the combination of stiff sidewalls and high pocket design, the Stallion head is known as a favorite for the former Johns Hopkins star, Kyle Harrison, who will be cheering on the Jays as they continue their momentum from their first ever Big Ten title and a monstrous 1st round win.

Nike Lakota U

Head Spec: Universal
